Why typewriters are making a comeback

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The first commercially successful typewriter was invented in the United States back in 1867. In their heyday in the 1950 and 60s there were hundreds of typewriter makers with factories all over the world - including Remington in the US, Adler in Germany and Imperial in the UK. It was the computer age which proved to be the typewriter鈥檚 nemesis. But as the 麻豆社's Mike Johnson reports, some people are rediscovering its virtues.
