"We need to push altogether to move towards peace"

Newsday

Available for over a year

Under pressure from protest organisers the transitional military council running Sudan has sacked the Public Prosecutor and his deputy - both of whom played a key role locking up government critics and protestors before the president, Omar al-Bashir, was overthrown. Protest organisers are demanding that the military immediately hands over to a civilian-led administration. It was soldiers who came out in defence of the protestors before ousting Omar al-Bashir from power. We spoke to one of the soldiers who came out in defence of the protestors.
