Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

The Nobel Peace Prize winner and Liberian peace activist Leymah Roberta Gbowee is currently visiting Cameroon. The country has in the last two years witnessed internal disputes between Anglophone and French-speaking territories. Cameroon has also been targeted by Islamic militants Boko Haram, entering from neighbouring Nigeria. Ms Gbowee has been speaking to those affected by the violence, especially women and children, as well as to government officials. This is what she's found out.
