Government is 'complicit' in veteran 'witch-hunt'

Today in Parliament

Available for over a year

UK Governments are "complicit" in a witch-hunt against former servicemen and women who served in Northern Ireland. The accusation came from a former army officer and Conservative MP Bob Stewart during a debate on prosecuting veterans for alleged offences going back to the 1970s and 80s. The debate was prompted by a public petition saying the military should not be prosecuted for their "work" in Northern Ireland. Kristiina Cooper reports. You can hear more from Today in Parliament at 11.30pm on Radio 4.
