After working as a private chef for more than a decade, and coming third in the TV series Masterchef: The Professionals, setting up her own restaurant in 2013 felt like the logical next step. But, as Marianne tells Emily Thomas, the food business is tough, and despite positive reviews and celebrity diners, she had to walk away from her long-held dream last year.
