Trump race row: 'I was told to go home'

Outside Source

Available for over a year

The US House of Representatives has voted to condemn President Donald Trump's suggestion that four US congresswomen should "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came". All four of the congresswomen are US citizens and people of colour. Representatives Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib were born in the US and Ilhan Omar came to the country from Somalia as a child refugee. Mr Trump has been accused of racism and xenophobia for his comments, but has since tweeted: "I don't have a Racist bone in my body!" We spoke to Degha, a Somali-American woman from Minnesota, to find out if she has faced racist abuse. (Photo: Degha Shabbeleh. Credit: Nur Jama)
