'...it's such a pretty space here...' - the new haven for bumblebees being created in Cornwall

Jack Murley

Available for over a year

It was only a few years ago that people were seriously worrying about bumblebees becoming extinct in the UK altogether. That would have had a serious impact on our ecosystem -- including here in Cornwall -- which is why one local group is doing its bit to help the species get back on its feet. The Duchy of Cornwall Nursery has opened a whole garden that's specifically designed to help bumblebees flourish, and that you can make happen in your own garden as well. Â鶹Éç Radio Cornwall's Daphne Skinnard has been finding out more with Jill Perkens, the CEO of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust - and Nursery general manager Carl Taylor.
