Why one family decided to dedicate their time – and money – to saving the lives of migrants making the dangerous Mediterranean crossing from North Africa to Europe. Italian philanthropist Regina Catrambone and her husband Chris set up the Migrant Offshore Aid Station, or MOAS, in 2013 – one of the first NGOs to carry out search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean.
