Originally composed for piano the most famous version of Pictures at an Exhibition was arranged for orchestra by Ravel in 1922. Each of the ten pieces in this work represent different paintings by Mussorgsky's artist friend Victor Hartmann. Listen for the variety of strong imagery that is offered throughout.
