Meet the 10 Iron Women. On Sunday they conquered their first Iron man in Barcelona. None of them are elite athletes; they are all young professionals based in or near to London, and have been fitting in a grueling training regime around their lives and careers. The main reason behind the project was to encourage other women and girls to think beyond limits and enter triathlon/ironman events. Next year, they plan to help pass on their experiences to develop the next 10 Iron Women as they continue to try to redress the gender balance.
