Durban's surfing schoolchildren

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

On the beaches around Durban in South Africa, surfing has been seen as a sport for the affluent, and mostly white population. But in recent years, more people have been introduced to the sport, and a charity is teaching street children how to surf. Andre Lombard, from Â鶹Éç Africa's children's programme, What's New? has been catching some waves with them. (Photo: Durban's surfing schoolchildren. Credit: Â鶹Éç)
