'Leonard Cohen was my mentor'

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The famed popular song 'Hallelujah' was originally composed and sang by the late Leonard Cohen, who died in 2016. He was a poet, singer, songwriter, bohemian and Buddhist monk. He mentored singer and dancer Perla Batalla for almost three decades - after which she went on to become a Grammy nominated performing artist and now sings at concerts around the world. Perla speaks to us about the insight his mentoring gave to her, and what it said about his rich and creative life. The 麻豆社's Richard Collings reports. (Image: Leonard Cohen and Perla Batalla.
