Ten years ago, the Togo football team's bus was attacked as they travelled to the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola. A rebel group opened fire on their convoy which resulted in two deaths. The team had become caught up in the political situation in Angola, a country that - back then - had recently emerged from three decades of civil war. On the bus was Emmanuel Adebayor then Togo鈥檚 star player, who played for Manchester City in the English Premier League. The 麻豆社鈥檚 Matthew Kenyon was in Angola covering the tournament for the 麻豆社 and spoke to the striker soon after the attack: WARNING: Includes graphic descriptions of the attack Photo: TV grab of Emmanuel Adebayor following the shooting which killed members of the Tongolese football team in Cabinda, Jan 2010.
