Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, has been filling dance floors with his songs for almost a decade now - and his stateside gigs are fast selling out such has been his global success. With that success comes a flashy lifestyle that he hopes is aspirational. Born in the States and the son of a successful business man and university lecturer mother, he was raised in both Nigeria and the US. Focus on Africa's reporter, Nnamdi Moweta caught up with him in LA and asked him first what he thinks of the state of Nigeria almost 60 years after independence.
