Mark Gatiss: 'We can't let theatre evaporate'

PM

Available for over a year

There are few industries worse affected by covid than theatre. And until we can completely stop worrying about covid - which could be years away - business will not revert to normal. The London west end theatres have problems, but the crisis is a very severe one for Britain's regional theatres. Like the Nottingham Playhouse, for example. What are they planning for 2020 and beyond? The PM programme have arranged to stay in touch as they rise to the challenge of covid through this year. It should be an indicator of the way the sector - and culture more generally - is handling social distancing. Evan Davis has been speaking to the actor and writer Mark Gatiss and Stephanie Sirr, Chief Executive of the Nottingham Playhouse.
