Playwright, author, actor, musician, composer. There was little Ivor Novello couldn’t turn his hand to within the mediums of literature and theatre. 'The Dancing Years', composed in 1939 with his usual lyricist, Christopher Hassall, is typical of his work. It includes the songs 'Lorelei' and 'My Dearest dear', and in February 1959 became the first presentation in the Âé¶¹Éç’s Musical Playhouse series.
