Victoria Cilliers: My husband tried to kill me, but I felt guilty

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

Victoria Cilliers’ story made headlines in 2015. We heard how her husband had tried to kill her by tampering with her parachute. Against all odds, she survived. After two trials, and the world’s press scrutinising their relationship, he was sentenced to 18 years on two counts of attempted murder. Now she's written a book called 'I Survived'. She spoke to Jane Garvey on Woman's Hour about the controlling relationship she experienced and how even after the police told her that her husband may have been involved, she struggled to see herself as a victim.
