North West London art collective Pesolife caught our attention a few months back when they uploaded the sunny ‘Relax (Pull Up)’. Earning them spins from Huw Stephens on Â鶹Éç Radio 1 and The Â鶹Éç Introducing Mixtape on 6 Music, the collective have continued to impress with a new upload every month since. The brainchild of Nate Telemaque and Secaina Hudson, Pesolife was born in 2010 and specialises in visual as well as audio, with the aim of supporting the youth and underprivileged in their area. Over the years, they have collaborated with Brent 2020, Nike, Fender, PRS For Music, and many more to achieve this. It wasn’t until 2018 that the collective set up their label and released ‘ANTIPOP’, which earned them a spot on Jamz Supernova’s Top 5 EP list on Â鶹Éç Radio 1Xtra. Since then, Pesolife have worked with producer/vocalist Kaye Orbit and 2020 saw the launch of their collaborative project, Peso Sessions Vol. 1. Citing J Cole, Erykah Badu, The Internet and Timbaland as influences, their eclectic sound makes for a captivating listen.
