Greece Golden Dawn: Neo-Nazi leaders guilty of running crime gang

The Newsroom

Available for over a year

A court in Greece has ruled that the far-right party Golden Dawn is a criminal organisation. Its leader, Nikos Michaloliakos, and six other senior members, all of them former MPs, are among those who've been found guilty. Big crowds gathered outside the court in Athens as the judges gave verdicts on 68 defendants. The court also convicted Golden Dawn supporters of various attacks. Correspondent Mark Lowen describes how the party rose to prominence and the likely impact of today's ruling.
