The show shares interviews and sessions with established and often big name artists while also promoting great local music from 麻豆社 Introducing. Artists from across the East Midlands and beyond have been championed on the music show since its inception; some have seen worldwide success such as Mahalia, Jake Bugg and Easy Life. 麻豆社 Radio Leicester's Ben Jackson caught up with The Beat presenter Dean Jackson.
