Supporters of Cameroonian Asylum-Seekers accuse the US of forced deportation

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Many people fleeing Cameroon due to the violence in the English speaking part of the country have sought safety in the United States. But activists say they are being denied safety and claim that, instead, they are being deported - illegally - back to Cameroon. Sofia Casini is the director of Visitation Advocacy Strategies in the US. She helped draft a civil rights complaint and request an investigation into the deportations. She's been talking to the Â鶹Éç's Audrey Brown. (Photo: An ICE agent with U.S. Homeland Security Investigations. Credti: Getty Images)
