Concerns are mounting for civilians living in Ethiopia's Tigray region as the conflict continues. Thousands have fled, but those unable to flee remain in danger. Nearly a million people in Tigray were in need of humanitarian assistance before the outbreak of violence, and now humanitarian agencies are struggling to maintain access to the region. The Â鶹Éç’s Esau Williams has been speaking to the United Nations's Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mark Lowcock, who says that many humanitarian workers have had to be pulled out of the conflict zone.
