Engineering work on Portland is set to last until February, after concrete was poured into the sewage network near a building site. The blockage has caused properties in the area to flood, during heavy rain. In a statement, Wessex Water said the blockage was 'unfortunately caused by a company working in the area'. Water engineers are currently working to bypass the damaged storm outflow at Brandy Row, and parts of the promenade and parking bays have been closed off. Wessex Water has confirmed the emergency repairs will be ongoing into the new year and won’t be completed until late January 2021.   Â鶹Éç Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman visited the site and asked Wessex Water Waste Supervisor Oliver Clifford how long it will take to extract the concrete from the damaged pipe.
