Â鶹Éç Radio Solent Special

Available for over a year

On New Years Eve 1970, Â鶹Éç Radio Solent officially went on air for the first time. Neil Sackley has been going through the archive and discovered this radio station has always brought you the biggest – and more unusual stories. We were there in 1976 when Saints went to Wembley and lifted the FA Cup We were there when Portsmouth Port opened and we were there when the millionth transit rolled off the production line in Swaythling. We were there during the 1976 drought and through the autumn storms. And of course we were there when Saints brought the FA Cup home.
