Moroccan author Abdellah Taia talks to the �鶹��’s Nora Fakim about the hurdles he has faced as a gay writer. He’s been shortlisted for a PEN America Literary Award for 2021 for his book “A Country for Dying”. It tells the story of Zahira, a Moroccan prostitute in France who has become disheartened by the French system, in a country which she had hoped would give her a better life.
