The funeral will take place this afternoon of the Derry Cty Legend Willie Curran, who died this week at the age of 90. He signed for the club as a teenager, which began more than 7 decades of association with the Candystripes. A centre half in his playing days, he lined up in the famous 1954 Irish Cup final trilogy when Derry City lifted the trophy beating Glentoran 1-0 after two drawn games. He also played a huge role volunteering with the club, being awarded lifetime volunteer award in 2018 in-front of a packed Brandywell. Richard O'Reilly spoke to his son Liam.
