A messaging app for Africa by Africans

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Some messaging app users recently left WhatsApp after it announced plans to share data with its parent company Facebook. Apps such as Signal, Telegraph and Dust largely benefited but in the mix there’s one specifically made for Africa. SupAfrica is the brain child of Sierra Leonean-American entrepreneur Al-Hassan Bakarr Sr. He’s been telling Focus on Africa’s Bola Mosuro all about it.
