The man behind one of the biggest - if not the biggest - financial fraud ever has died in prison. Bernie Madoff was eighty-two years old. He had been serving a 150 year sentence for defrauding thousands of people out of billions of dollars. His victims ranged from everyday investors to eminent universities and charities. Diana Henriques is the author of The Wizard of Lies: Bernie Madoff and The Death of Trust, which was made into a feature film with Robert De Niro in the title role.
