Marvel comics are responsible for some of the most iconic fictional superheroes of recent time such as Black Panther, Spider-Man and Iron man. Despite the aforementioned characters all being male, the franchise has recently released an Anthology dedicated to female superheroes called “The Women of Marvel.” One of the illustrators is Swedish/Nigerian Maria Fröhlich. She spoke to Focus On Africa’s Mark Wilberforce about her journey as a comic artist.
