Nigerian writer Ifeanyichukwu Peter Eze is a recipient of an Akuko Writers’ award. Akuko was born from the need for a space for writers and artists from Africa and its diaspora to share the stories of the continent and its peoples worldwide. Ifeanyichukwu, who's a Philosophy graduate from the University of Nigeria, focuses on issues about survival, faith, identity, and mental health in his writings. Before achieving success he had been turned down numerous times by publishers but rejection made him more determined to succeed.
