In July 2021 there were at least four incidents of watch thefts across the county. Each involved a man having their watch stolen and, in the majority of incidents, it was by two women. The thefts occurred in Ferndown, Wimborne, Poundbury and Poole. Dorset police have warned people to "remain vigilant when in close proximity to someone you do not know".
