Newshour

Available for over a year

The Taliban have made their way into the Afghan capital after President Ashraf Ghani fled amid chaotic scenes, two decades after the militants were overthrown by a US-led invasion. The 麻豆社's James Coomarasamy has been speaking to the Afghan journalist Bilal Sawary, who says the Taliban are now inside the presidential palace in the capital. "They are sitting on the chair of the former president of Afghanistan... It is a massive change in the politics of this country," he tells us.
