Available for over a year
For the first time in more than three decades, revenue from the sale of vinyl LP's is on track to overtake CD's by the end of this year. Â鶹Éç Radio Solent has been looking into the ever increasing popularity of vinyl in South Dorset. Records may be a bit crackly from time to time, but that's part of the charm. And while there may not be 70 million songs to listen to at the click of a button by streaming your favourite artist, the richness in sound is proving a winner across generations, with younger people also getting onboard with the vinyl revival. Laurence Herdman has taken a trip down memory lane, and asked punters "what was the first record you bought?"
