Your Place and Mine

Available for over a year

In County Tyrone at Keyes farm on the Pomeroy Road near Cookstown there is a scutching machine which came out of Mackies in Belfast in the 1920s. It's all set up in an open shed and they're just waiting for the power to be connected because Helen Keyes and Charlie Mallon have grown three acres of flax and are already busy preparing this years crop for rhetting and then the scutching - and they're still learning as they go. Helen Mark paid them a visit.
