Ethiopia's Prime Minister and Nobel Laureate, Abiy Ahmed, has made an eagerly anticipated announcement. He has named his new Cabinet. There was a lot of anticipation, because he had promised to include members of the opposition. That's a promise he's kept, as three prominent opposition figures have been named on his team. Prime Minister Abiy is facing increasing international pressure over the war in Tigray. The UN says hundreds of thousands of people are experiencing famine and there are increasing reports of human rights abuses.聽 Ethiopia's economy - once the fastest-growing in Africa - is now sputtering with increasing inflation. One of the new opposition ministers is Berhanu Nega from the聽 Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice (EZEMA) party. He was imprisoned when Meles Zenawi was prime minister and accused of belonging to a terrorist organisation. He is the newly-appointed minister for education, and he's been speaking to the 麻豆社's Paul Bakibinga.
