Direct air capture (DAC) is the process of capturing carbon dioxide directly from the air. Such projects are becoming increasingly popular, with governments and big companies investing. We hear from Climeworks in Iceland, who run a large-scale carbon dioxide removal plant called Orca. Dr Simon Evans of Climate Brief and Sir David King, who chairs the Centre for Climate Repair at Cambridge University, share their thoughts on the technology.
