The 2021 presidential election matters to Gambians because it's the first presidential poll since the end of the Jammeh era. But the game is up before it'd even begun for one of the more interesting parties in this election. The reverberations are continuing to be felt after the Citizens' Alliance, one of the newer parties, was denied yet again the right to contest the election because it did not have the required signatures of registered voters. Focus on Africa's Esau Williams spoke to the leader of the Citizens' Alliance, Ismaila Ceesay, and he first gave his reaction to the latest set back for his party.
