Will Mum's dream come true, where she lives almost entirely on a diet of sweet food?

Andrew Edwards

Available for over a year

Carolyn has been struggling to eat even her puréed meals. But is the issue just her increasingly loose false teeth? Andrew brings dental adhesive so the carers can fix the dentures in. After a referral from the GP, he speaks to a speech and language therapist. She says it could be that - as the dementia develops - Mum's tastes are changing. She's always liked sweet things and still eats plenty of yoghurts and mousses. Perhaps she no longer fancies savoury food? As her son grapples with the challenge of keeping her eating and drinking, one of Carolyn's closest friends pays a welcome visit. Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on Â鶹Éç Radio Leeds.
