More than two and a half million Ukrainians have fled into other European countries, with around one and a half million of them heading into neighbouring Poland. Citizens there have been offering accommodation and providing essential donations to help those that have crossed the border. Polish football has also responded - launching the Poland for Ukraine campaign - raising money in association with the Red Cross. Wisla Krakow is Poland’s oldest professional club. Their stadium right now is serving as a hub for locals to drop off donations while the club have also taken in Dynamo Kyiv's youth footballers, offering them a safe place to stay and to play.
