In a sign of the growing popularity and influence of the genre, the music industry magazine Billboard and the festival brand, Afro Nation, have teamed up to launch a new US Afrobeats Chart. It will rank the 50 most popular Afrobeats tracks from around the world. Speaking to the Â鶹Éç's Bola Mosuro, Afro Nation's co-founder Obi Asika, says the Chart will showcase the "deepness of quality and talent that there is in the genre".
