A federal high court in Nigeria has ordered the government to implement gender quotas in the country. Despite the National Gender Policy demanding that 35% of public jobs should go to women, women's representation in Nigeria's House of Representatives stood at just over 5% and in the Senate at 5.8%, according to UN statistics from 2019. "This judgment has come to stay," celebrates women's rights activist Mufuliat Fijabi. Interview by Paul Bakibinga.
