Cases of countries shutting down the web in Africa have gone up, with latest figures in a report from Access Now - a non-profit organisation defending digital rights - stating that 12 countries cut internet access at least 19 times in 2021, compared to nine countries in the previous year. Felicia Anthonio,who's based in Accra, Ghana, is the #KeepItOn campaign manager at Access Now.
