Could period and pregnancy tracking apps be used against women?

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

Women in the United States have been speaking out on social media about period and pregnancy tracking apps over concerns their data could be held and used against them, should they ever seek to have an abortion. These fears follow a leaked US Supreme Court document suggesting they could be about to overturn the landmark Roe V Wade case, which guarantees a woman鈥檚 constitutional right to abortion. So, how careful should women be with their reproductive data? 麻豆社 Technology reporter Shiona McCallum and Jillian York from the American digital rights group, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, joined Emma Barnett on 麻豆社 Radio 4鈥檚 Woman鈥檚 Hour to discuss.
