Celebrations have been taking place for Queen Eliizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee – marking 70 years on the throne as the British monarch and also the head of the Commonwealth. Among the many tributes to the world's longest-reigning monarch, is a new Song for the Commonwealth, specially commissioned for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Life lived with Grace was written by Australian Lucy Kiely. The music was composed and arranged by Nigerian Vincent Atueyi Chinemelu. The new piece was part of a competition organised by the charity The Commonwealth Resounds. The Queen heard it as it when it was played as beacons were lit across the UK and in many parts of the Commonwealth. Vincent Atueyi Chinemelu says it has been an experience he will cherish.
