David Slater from Earlsdon contacted Coventry City Council in October 2021 to have a bench put in War Memorial Park for his partner Gaynor who passed away from cancer in 2020. But 8 months later, and after paying £1500, there was still nothing. Â鶹Éç CWR's Make a Difference team got on the case and chased the council who promised it would be in before the end of June. True to their word the bench has been installed and Â鶹Éç CWR's Richard Williams was with David when he got to see it for the first time.
