Ugandan Asians in Nuneaton on fleeing Idi Amin - 50 years on

CWR Breakfast with Phil Upton

Available for over a year

Fifty years ago this week thousands of Asians were expelled from their homes and businesses in Uganda by the dictator Idi Amin. He gave the people from mainly Indian and Pakistani communities just 90 days to leave the country. Many of them settled here in the Midlands and we've been hearing some of their stories. 麻豆社 CWR's Ushma Mistry has been speaking to the first the Ugandan Asian family to settle in Nuneaton.
