Non-teaching head of year Bernie works at Leicester’s New College. When the pandemic struck she volunteered to make sure the families who would usually receive free school meals still got the help they needed. She’s been nominated for a Â鶹Éç Radio Leicester Make A Difference Award, recognising people in the community who go above and beyond. We had hundreds of nominations across all the categories and now can reveal that shortlist – and hear from the finalists.
