Newsday

Available for over a year

More than 400 bodies have been found in a mass grave site in Izyum say Ukrainian officials. The city is in a region recently liberated from Russian forces. President Zelensky has said that Russia must be held to account over its actions and civilian causalities. Exhumation will begin today to help identify the dead. Anastasia Stanko, a journalist for Hromadske, the Ukrainian digital broadcasting station, is in Kharviv. Over the last few days, she has been visiting parts of the country recently recaptured by Ukraine. After travelling to Izyum, she told Newsday, "Many people, many soldiers, and many locals in Izyum said before that Izyum is destroyed, and we saw that it's true."
