In Summer 2017 Lynne Baird from Yardley lost her son Daniel in a stabbing in Birmingham There was no first aid or bleeding control available which meant Daniel passed away from blood loss shortly after arriving at hospital Lynne decided to create the Daniel Baird Foundation in memory of her son. Well these kits have now been rolled out across the country including to Scotland where two have been used recently to save lives. Miles Hamilton is a volunteer at Street Assist in Edinburgh who was instrumental in bringing them to the Scottish capital.
