'It represents the pride of the people with HIV'

Rakeem Omar

Available for over a year

Black Country sculptor Luke Perry tells Rakeem Omar about a new, iconic memorial to honour those lost to aids - as well as those living with HIV. The 7 metre high metal sculpture will have a permanent home in Hippodrome Square in the city's Southside district. It's being unveiled tonight - on Worlds Aids Day. It's a historic first for the region and the country - and lots of people have helped make it happen.
